English for Life is a five-level task-based language curriculum that can be adapted to any English teaching context, and which can also be used as a guide for learning other languages. The five levels range from zero to high intermediate language proficiency. The core of English for Life is a “can do” checklist for each level, providing tasks to demonstrate what a learner “can do” using the language, in reading, writing, speaking and listening. The English for Life Teacher’s Guide explains how a complete language learning program might be created centered on the checklists, adding in elements such as grammar instruction, projects, and assessment. The teaching resources are provided as Word documents, so they can be adapted to your own context. Be advised that providing these resources as Word documents may result in formatting irregularities.
