Dr. Jan Edwards Dormer has been in the field of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) for 35 years, having taught in multiple countries, diverse school contexts, and all age groups. With a B.A. in Elementary Education (Asbury University), an M.A. in TESOL (Ball State University), and a Doctorate in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning focused on language education (University of Toronto), she brings both experience and training to her work. A prolific writer, Jan has authored six books and numerous chapters and articles. In addition, she has created many resources that are freely available on this site. Jan is a professor in the Graduate Program in Education at Messiah University. She also works with many schools, teachers and language learners around the world, and would love to hear from you!
